My mic was not working on one headset. After replacing the lower coil cord realized it was in the headset itself and found the mic wire disconnected from the mini 5-din connector on the helmet. It was too small to re solder and so I tried to take the thing apart to resolder. Got it apart but it isn't created to do so and damaged it.
So I though I would try cutting the end off it and the coil connector (older one) to keep from having to buy another head set.
The head set has 3 sets of wires, 2 black and 2 white each. 2 for the mic, and two each for each headphone. The lower cord has 7 or more of different colors.
Can I solder them without interference?
Which wires go to which colors.
Wanting to fix it before Saturday as I'm going on a ride with the wife and would like to talk with her.
Thanks
