Not sure where to start or if it is a electric problem anyone help:bowing:

Loose connection in the wiring ,what is causing the explosions is the ignition turning off and then coming back on again and igniting the fuel build up ,check all you connections, especially the one inside the left fairing radvent (block connector) and down at the dog bone connection at the battery ,, Ciaran

Really can't say as all happens fast as I said the power drops of, several lights come on the dash, then bang, and she kicks back in, the other day I had loads of cars round me and bang bang bang, sounded like an old banger.:(

Have just ordered some new plugs as someone said that a plug could be on the way out, not sure I think it is that but not also sure when the plugs where last changed, as you say sounds more to do with electrics, not being that way minded could have some fun:headbanger:

Sounds exactly as wexy said. I had the exact same symptom when I bumped the kill switch and quickly turned it back on.

them electrical plugs can give ya the fits , lower brake lites would'nt work , toulble shooted them for 4 days , took a break and made a extention to move trunk back for more room in the seating area , got it done and took her for a ride , checked brake to see if my trunk brakes were working , while moving trunk i must have pulled 1 of them plugs just right , now i got lowere brake lites and still don't no for sure what i did , so check them electical plugs

I thought that was happening to my 1800 too, but I remembered I had too many beans for dinner yesterday.:D

check the R handle bar kill switch. I used to do that trick on purpose on my SV. it would shoot a nice blue flame out the pipe and make a loud pop. It was only reserved for biker gang racer type hooliganism. I'm much more mature now that I own a goldwing.
