I have a question about the charging system on a 1986 Goldwing FI.
Actually the bike belongs to my buddy and his battery is being over charged, think he said was charging about 15.4 volts or so. Evidently someone told him there was a way to put a by pass of some sort on the black wire to make the rectifier not chargeat such a high rate.
Does anyone know anything about that? And is that a fix or just a temporary fix?
I have read through several pages of the tech section and the change over to the alternator looks like quite a good fix for the whole Stator/rectifier setup on the goldwing.
Thanks for reading,
By the way I am a Yamaha Venture rider but don't throw stones at me
