The reason I don't have the 1800 anymore,
is because I nearly passed out while riding at the Rally in Norfork, AR a few years back.

decided it was time to let my son keep it going down the road.

I hope Lucas has become more like Motel 6 and will leave the lights on for you ;) . Brings back the childhood memories of a few british bikes in my small town. Enjoy the rides.

Now you guys are starting to make ME feel bad!! I will be 78 in May and still on 2 wheels! Of course my need for speed has long vanished someplace!! I still like my 99 GL1500 SE and I also know I will never wear it out. It might kill my though someday, but I like to wander about in my home state of ND if spring ever gets here!! 0f right now outside at 1538 hours on March 17th??? WTH???? I do a lot of "parking lot practice" every spring and several times during the summer to keep my balance and skills up to a fair degree. Hope to keep on 2 for at least till I am 80 or beyond! My Mom just passed away this past Dec at 95 years. Many family on her side went a long time so maybe I will also??

Wish there were more of these made into later years with updated suspension and tire sizes. I did a few test rides back in the day, very easy on and off and such.

I sure miss Clem and a few others from Rider. I have been subscribed to that mag since the first issue in 1974 but will not re-up when this sub runs out. Next to nothing of interest in it now.
