Already spoken with the powers that be in Blackpool, they said a load of Irish bikers holds no fears, its the Scots weeks that fill them with dread.:shock::shock:

Looking forward to a big turn from you guys, we are going to have one hell of a time

Well worth it

Agree with you, Funny Girls is the best £5.60 you will spend for a caberet show, they are now housed in the old Odeon Cinema and the venue is outstanding, must see this if you fancy a wild night out.

Working on the route the Light Parade should take in September.
Last year we progressed North from the Cenotaph to the roundabout at Gyn square around the island and then South along the promenade, did everyone like the idea of seeing the rest of the parade go round the island or what?
and should we include it again this year?
Also, how do you fancy coming off the promenade for a short time where it is a little darker to show off the lights a bit more. Just a thought,
but i reckon we could get the entire route lined with spectators.
What do you think?

Pontins have Confirmed that all Goldwings can park in the Central Staff Car Park.
This area is secure and will have 24 hour roving security patrols
whilst the bikes are on site. Normally vehicles are expected to park outside the camp to avoid congestion and as a safety precaution. Ive had a look at it and the facility looks good.

Colin Appleyards have booked shop space and accomodation at Pontins and confirmed they will be on site for the duration of the Light Parade Weekend.
They will no doubt bring plenty of chrome goodies
and I have been reliably informed by Barry they will also have some illuminations of their own.

Just a reminder guys. I have arranged accomodation for us at Pontins Holiday camp. They have given us a special deal for the two nights. Full details can be found here

We may as well all stay at the same venue. Anyway I promised we would drink all the beer they had. :dude:

Get booked in as soon as you can.

Had a chat with Mandy at Pontins today and explained the Irish party would only be here for the one night and could Pontins accomodate you for the Saturday only.

They said they would but it would cost £35.00 per person for the night, inc dinner and breakfast.Dont know if your interested or not at that price. Let me know and I will set it up, at least you would be with the main group and have access to all the Pontins facilities whilst on site

Comment from Pontins

The rate for the 1 night would be £35.00 per person.

They can only check into their apartments at 4.00 in the afternoon although they
can arrive earlier on centre and use the facilities. And we will allow them to
check out of their apartments on the Sunday at 2.00pm (normal time is 10.00am)

It would be a shame not to have you guys with us
Cheers

Latest numbers from Pontins.

107 people have already booked into Pontins Holiday Camp for the Light Parade weekend. Looks like being a sell out.

Dont miss this awsome event. If your thinking of coming along and plan to stay over, get booked in as soon as possible.

would anyone be interested in a T shirt for the event.
Possibly get some sponsorship from the council and Pontins.
Give me some idea as to how much you would be prepared to spend. I know they can get quite expensive. I have a couple of contacts who could come up with something quite quickly.

Latest numbers from Pontins check in stand at 235. Looks like roughly 100 bikes already commited, should blow last year out the water. I will be posting a full schedule for the event shortly so watch this space.

Getting really excited now:cool::cool::cool:

There is also a special deal for one nights accomodation for the Irish contingent. Give Mandy Garratt a call at Pontins. All details at the above web site.

Shooters media are currently editing the Light Parade Video/DVD, and from what I've seen so far its terrific. They have provided us with a brief (6MB) trailer of the event and Nigel, North Wings Webmaster, has uploaded it onto the Light Parade website.
If you want to download it, you will find a link to it on the home page:
