Hi Marshy. "The best model" is always subjective, but Baron Trikes in the UK make really nice trikes at better prices than the ones that most dealers import from the USA, before stacking big charges on top of the price. I don't have contact info for BAron, but someone will pipe in later on.

There are several good trikes ,,Lehman /motortrike /californian sidecar /

the californian seem to be getting the best reviews in the states ,,It is all very well having a nice looking trike ,but if the suspension is not good it will be really unconfortable to ride ,,I have looked into and read up a lot on trikes and I have also seen the baron trike,,but the Americans are years ahead ,,go onto www.gwraa.org and read the trike pages and that will give you a good idea what to look for ,,Trikes are way overpriced in the UK ,What they look for a 10 year old 1500 trike you can buy a 2002 1800 trike in the states and limport it into the UK for the same money ..cheers Ciaran

We have an 1800 trike with the California Sidecar conversion and it is awsome:D. Not cheap mind you.

Try this trike out for size. I have seen it and know the seller. It is a good one and very well priced compared to others I have seen. It can be bought for £10,500 and when you consider what he has just spent on it this can't be bad.

I always liked the Lehmans. Some trike kits make the Wing too long and wide, but the Lehmans are neat. The onle Littlejohn linked to has to be very good value though.

What is the best model depends on whose doing the choosing ! We were on holiday in Texas and happened to pass by a dealer that had six different manufacturers trikes outside, we were able to have a look and compare etc. We decided we liked the Motor Trike the best, so we bought one from Motor Trike direct and had it shipped to the UK. We had a lot of hassle with the shipping company and then had to pay all the delivery, taxes etc, but it was worth it ! We will be selling it in the New Year (to fund another Motor Trike), take a look at the attachment if you'r interested.

Think about the NEW Motor Trike with the Independent Rear Suspension system (IRS). Again, not cheap, but with the on-board air compressor, you will LOVE the independent rear suspension.
