Good freind went to another

I sold my '84 GL1200 Interstate this week to a friend. He is excited and ready to put on some miles. Only thing, he has not riden a bike in 30yrs. I told him to take it slow. Since he lives around the corner from me, I do plan on looking him up from time to time to ride and see how things are going. I knew that I would miss the 1200 when I rode it to his house the other day. He loves cars and knows how to care for them. He'll take goodcare of the bike. Just feels like I lost as family member. Now it's just me and my '05GL18100ABS.

Gina asked me one time if I'd ever consider getting rid of my 1100. I told her that she didn't really want to see me sit down in the front yard and bawl like a baby watching someone else ride my girl off.

Yeah I was sad to see my sweet '86 go too a couple of months ago, but the couple that got her really love her so she's in good hands. She was getting neglected since I got my 2000 anyway.

I would suggest to your friend to go take an MSF course to rehone his skills. He won't regret it. I went about 20 years without owning a street bike myself so I went and took the ERC. It was a blast and I learned some things too and came out of it feeling much more in control of my big new Wing.
