Last year I GAVE my neighbor a complete set of wheels and rims BSA/Tri late model conical front and rear wheelswith the really crappy brakes. Not long ago he returned the favor with rear wheel for the kitchen bike. It came with two sets of spokes and an 18" and a 19" rim. The 19" was rusted out so I used the 18" It's a quick-change racing thing where you just spin the axle off and you can replace tire and wheel in a matter of minutes. It mates to the brake drum with a fine 60* tapered spline. Rusty of course. They barely fit together. I brushed and oiled the splines for about an hour tonight. Still wouldn't fit together except when both splines were clocked just right. It's got better brakes than the conical. This exotic racing crap is just a lot of trouble. The factory stuff is better for the most part. Wish I had my conical back!

And I never even got a kiss from the neighbor!
