If it's a good pillow to sit on nothing wrong with using it, REALLY!
Think about it, we buy a gel seat cushion and just toss it on the seat and sit on it not fastened or anything. Some do it with a bathmat or sheepskin also. So why not a nice comfy thick pillow?
Just have to be sure you won't be pinching/cutting any wires you might sit on.
If anyone asks why your sitting on a pillow just say " Hemorrhoids" and they will probably go away. LOL
