We have an old pontoon boat on Greers Ferry Lake. After the storms went through on Tuesday, I thought it would be a good idea to check on the old boat. It was the best excuseI could come up with to ride.
Well as it turns out I'm glad I went. The boat and the dock had no damage, but there were some private docks close bythat were destroyed andtrees weredown everywhere. The piece of mind was worth the trip.
Since I was already on the road ... it seemed like a good time to make a loop through North Arkansas. I went up 65 to Marshall and took Hwy 27 and 14 to Yellville. From there I went across to Harrison and rode Hwy 7 back toward home.
Crewsare still working to get the power back on in the rural areas from the ice storm over two weeks ago. The forest took a terrible beating ... never saw so many broken tree limbs in my life. It looked like a bomb had gone off.
