Wow, great shots clpete thanks for sharing. What are the speed limits riding around those roads and around the Grand Canyon? Did you have many problems with wind or breezes and how about tour buses?

Thanks. My wife took most of the pictures and a lot of them are going down the road. I only posted a few of the 480 photos we took.

The road into the north rim of the Grand Canyon is 50 mph most of the way. It’s about 80 miles in from Kanab. The day we road in was windy, but the forecast called for it across southern Utah northern Arizona. Once your in the park the speed limit is 45.

Scenic Byway 12 is mostly 55. There are spots that are 35. This is a great motorcycle road. It runs through Bryce Canyon, Escalante Staircase Monument and over the Bolder Mountains.

We saw a few tour busses, but never ended up behind one.

Don't pass on a bit of a sidetrip..... Cedar Breaks National Monument. The road going up and coming down is spectacular!

Wicked pictures. What a beautiful trip that must have been. Thanks for sharing the pictures. I notice your wife did not get a bunch of pictures of the back of your helmet while riding. ;)

The colours are amazing there at first/last light of the day. It really brings out the warm, reddish hues.

Nice little trip there. One of my favs, especially Hwy 12.

Great pics,,,,, I always love to see them from a members trip. Gets my blood pumping. I'll be seeing it all for myself in Sept.

How many days did you take for the trip? And how many miles? Did you do any camping? The cabin looked real nice.

We were gone 5 days and rode 1,183 miles. We like to ride about 200-300 miles a day and avoid the freeways whenever possible. I always try and find the most scenic and best motorcycle road. We put on about 380 going down and over 400 Monday coming home. So the other 3 days were under 200. That’s perfect for site seeing.

I used to camp a lot back when I had my 84 Aspencade, but now we get motels rooms.
That cabin in Tropic was really nice. We stayed 2 nights in it, so we got to spend the entire day in Bryce Canyon. The cabin at the Grand Canyon was pretty basic, but we were lucky to get it at short notice.

Did you get a chance to walk down either Grand or Bryce. They are both so awesome from the bottom up as well. Bryce took us I believe about 3 hours and that was going pretty slow.

No, we just hiked around the top, but I have been down in Bryce in the before.

I found a picture I took of Cedar Breaks last year when we were passing through.
