Greetings from Washington DC!! I've had two Goldwings, a 89 and a 93, both were rear ended by knuckleheads messing with their cell phones. Hopefully the 93 is not totaled..

If it is... I would like to move up to an 1800... What is a reliable year for me to consider??

While I like the new ones, the price tag while not out of reach, is a bit steep! I can buy a decent BMW Convertible for the same $$, but it wouldn't be as reliable, I imagine!

Thanks for your input and I look forward to your recommendations.

Mr. Bill Ohhhhh NooooO!!!

2006 and up have the reinforced frame, larger radiators and premium audio. Just make sure the brake recall has been done.

It would be a bonus if you can get the service records also. As with any used bike, there will be normal wear and tear items that need attended to.
Coolant, brake and clutch bleed and final drive fluid.

All are reliable, all have their issues. My choice would be something in the 2nd Gen, say 2012-2017. I have a 2015 and love it.
