I wonder if one would have served as an early warning device for the crow that committed suicide on my helmet.

My Teacher Supplied and educated Gremlin Bell is located on the Right Side Engine Crashbar at Bottom.

And it must work for all kinds of things.

Just this morning on the way to work at 3:30AM I see eyes ahead of me so I back off the throttle.

As I came closer I can see it's a Country Kitten, Skunk, Pole Cat to our Southern Brothers.

Well this one must have been cross bred to a squirrel.

I jogged left and it changed direction.

I jogged right and it changed direction again.

I layed the bike right over to the left and damn it did it again.

By this time it's too close and too late to change again.

I just held my Line and tightened up on the bars waiting to feel the thus and jerk on my bars as It looked like I was going to center punch it.

By this time I am in the far lane and I need to straighten out.

Whoooo! I feel nothing but I did hear my Bell Ring sharply.

I am checking in the mirrors, But it's still 3:30AM and still Dark so I can't see if the little body is rolling around in my wake.

I am also sniffing but I cant smell anything.......Yet.

I get to work a few miles later and check the bike in the parking lot lights.

I see no Damage.

Wait, What is that?

My Bell is just hanging by a thread.

I mounted it with one of those plastic Zip Strips.

I defy you to break one with your hands and this one is broke.

I reach down and just touch the bell and it falls off into my hands.

So it's now in my pocket and I am going to get me another Zip Strip and mount it again before I leave at Noon.

So thanks to Teacher for my Gift.

The Bells work for me.

Does a Teacher or maybe a forum GURU have to supply you with the bell? Do they teach it special things before they send it to you? Who do I need to ask to get a gremlin bell?

Erinpiper, you cannot ASK for a gremlin Bell, it must be an unsolicited gift.

However, you maycertainly tellfolks you don't have one.

PM me your address, if you like.

OH, mine is on my shifter, where a friend put it.

Thank you for the information Popeye!:cool:
As I sold my 84 Aspy in 1990 the internet did not exist for the masses and never knew about Gremlin Bells. Just got my 08 Wing in June so I don't have an educated Gremlin Bell as of yet.
I really do appreciate the information, and Thanks.
