First, welcome to the forum.
As far as the tire goes, I'd trailer the bike back to the guy who installed the tire and see how he wants to deal with it. I don't think a reputable shop would want to take a chance with it.
Personally, I doubt any damage was actually done to the structure.

He did have a new stem installed. Re-read the post.

The place where I get my tires charges a buck each for new valve stems, and recommends them every tire change.
That's for the shorty GL12 type. I don't know what he charges for the bent type.
