At least, the tire needs to be dismounted and thoroughly inspected. A front tire on a motorcycle is nothing to take any chances with...it's a life or death item.
I recently had the winter tires taken off the car and regular tires remounted on the wheels. The shop called my attention to the fact that one of the winter tires had a lot of shredded rubber inside from being run low on pressure...and I was completely unaware of it. We scrapped the tire and I'll replace it next winter.
