I just finished assembling my Harbor Freight lift table. Got it on sale for $349. Going to use it for my 84 and 85 1200's.

So a bit of researching shows the wheel chock needs moved forward for the center stand to clear the trap door. I see some are using the upgraded wheel chock with the cradle. I all ready have one of those so that's what I'm going to use, once I remove it from a box bench I built. Just wondering how far off the front you guys are hanging them. It's this one.

Also. What other mods have you guys come up with. Pics would be great. Thanks.

I use the bolt on wheel chock instead. It is cheaper and does not take up as much room when I don't have it bolted to the lift. I store mine on it's side against the wall in my garage. I take the chock off so it is not sticking out when walking by the lift. I also remove it when I am working on the front wheel and forks. It is just in the way for those jobs.

I also made wooden boxes that sit along side the lift. These give me a place to put my feet to stabilize the bike when riding the bike up and off the lift.
