I seen one listed on e-bay for a GL1000, without the attachment brackets, so I didn't know how it attached. Now that I see how it attaches, I wouldn't mind having one.:) What book did you find it in?:baffled:

"Memories", those are old. Remember seeing them advertised in "CYCLE" magazine long before it was discontinued. On a side-note, with a passenger and a little technique, most any centerstand can be a RIDE-OFF. I could just never see the need for one. Just how fast do you have to exit..... :baffled: :gunhead:

I think those ride-off stands were available for the GL1500 as well. Lots of GL1100 & 1200 owners used to get their stock main stands shortened so that the bike could easily be rolled on and off the stand, even while still sitting on the bike.

Aw shucks, you've burst my bubble Shooter, I took you for a wheelie type of guy:thumpingmad:I thought you might do a canyon jump as well, or ride a few miles sitting facing the trunk. Never mind, I do know you have big b*lls, if you are one of those guys who are strong enough to get the wing on its c/s without one of the above mentioned assisters!!:weightlifter::goofygrin:

That was a pretty neat reply Exavid, aren't you guys still in bed asleep? Or are you like me, prone to getting up in the night at all hours. Maybe you have an alarm on your computer that wakes you every post and you get up to reply!!!

No the one with the alarm is REDWING, Paul only posts when the woman who hangs around there tells him to go away.

The woman who hangs around here and I took a jaunt down to Salem, OR yesterday to have dinner with our oldest who was up there from Medford, OR on a business trip. Lovely day for a 360 mile ride. We got home at 2330 to find a small flood in the house. Seems a pipe fitting cracked in the wall. I spent until 0400 cutting into the wall cutting the pipe and making a temporary plug. Now the only good thing about it was I cut the 2x3" hole in the back of a closet. While I was having a cool one and allowing my irritation to settle down enough to go to bed I hit the forum. What a mess this morning, about 12 sq. ft. of rug stained and still wet after all night (albeit a short one) with fans on it. Sure hope we can get the stain out after it dries in a couple days. The trip was nice but I sure wish I was home when the pipe went.
