I went for a ride Saturday with my club. One of the bikes behind me stated that my left brakelight on the tourbox flashed slowly when I hit my brakes. I figured I had a bad bulb or connection. When I opened up the lower panel to check, a flasher unit fell out. It wasn,t even wired in properly. Just wires twisted together and taped. I have now removed it and put the wiring back to stock. Is this someones attempt at a homemade brakelight modulator?

Though I haven't seen one, I thought of something like it. The problem is, if it flashes all the time I wouldn't think it would be as effective as the 4-fast, then steady, then 4-flash again system. Also, automotive flashers (as you know) have relatively long duty cycles, so it's not really much of an attention getting device, IMO.

But no...not seen it!

That is what it looks like to me, that someone tried to make a poor man's modulator.:D
