HDLparts vs bikebandit

Interesting lack of communication from HDLparts.com. I ordered some OEM nuts and washers. Their order policy states that they notify you of back orders, but instead, they shipped a couple washers with the nuts back ordered and charged me $7.50. I'm not bitching about the $7.50, but I wonder if I will be charged a second time for shipping when they ship the nuts. I'd rather have been given an option to cancel and order elsewhere. I'm glad my first order was a small order.
Bikebandit has been very good with communication and making sure all the parts are shipped at the same time to only incur one shipping charge. However, their parts numbering system is confusing. Their numbers do not match Honda's OEM part numbers and then when the order arrives, the part numbers on their invoices do not match the numbers on their order page. Tough to make sure you ordered the right part and got the right part until you actually install it.
Any better places to get OEM parts for a GL1800? Just seeking the elusive good customer service type parts place and my local Honda store is just not it.

They did the same thing to me when I ordered the alternator dampers and rear bearing. The bearing came later and there was no additional charge.

I could not find it off hand in the details for shipping, but I remember once I had to call them about a part and they said there would be no additional charge for shipping if it is back ordered with a current order. A lot of companies will wait for the part before doing that so they don't end up paying more. Some do some don't. Personally I don't like it. I want to know if they are back ordered so I can go somewhere else if I need it. Not get a partial and then wait. I've called and cancelled orders for that reason.:X

I have had excellent luck with Cheap Cycle Parts http://www.cheapcycleparts.com/Street.aspx in Clarksville In. Their website for OEM parts is: http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/cheapcycleparts/Honda_OEM/HondaMC.asp On several occasions I have had to call and always got a pleasant helpful voice on the other end. Their prices rival all the Big Boys. JMHO

Oh, one other thing - when I was talking to Gary at Cyclemax Ohio last week, I mentioned the problems I was having with HDLParts. He said, "anything they can get, I can get." So I know exactly who I will be going to for OEM parts next time!!

Their online ordering is faster than through their local dealer locations. The Waynesville location handles the online orders.
