Head Swap Out

I have an extra 1980 GL1100 Standard Left Head on my parts bike. (The one on the Gearshift Side) Will it fit on an 1100 1983 Apencade? I heard the cams will. I am ordering my OEM Gsket set from bikebandit.com. Cabre Cycle doesn't seem to know what they are talking about.

I assume you mean Sabre Cycle. I thought they were a wealth of knowledge?...:rollingeyes::rollingeyes::rollingeyes:

I had emailed a question to Sabre Cycle about the Head Gasket on Ebay, and asked if it was OEM, and not flat steel, and they asked me to ask my local Honda Dealer! I wonder how he would know what Sabre had? I figure it was flst steel, because the price was $29.95 each, and BikeBandit ea. $51.95, and they said it was QEM. I am going with bikebandit, just to be on the safe side.

Quite a few members have tried the head gaskets from Saber Cycle and have had nothing but problems with them. For any gaskets stay with OEM from companies like Bike Bandit or Dennis Kirk.
