Whats the best "pot" for a volume adjuster for the passenger headset on a GL1500 and does its need to be a 3watt unit ? Thanks

The J&M unit is very good. But, being the cheapie that I am, I wired in a pot I got at Mouser Electronics. Chk this link for a fix for original Hondaline volume unit. I used that and wired my Mouser pot into the rear headset wiring.

The headset output is quite small and if you're looking to wire a pot in series with the passenger's headsets (increasing the resistance of the output circuit to reduce volume) you shouldn't need much more than a 250mW pot in a 500ohm or 1k size - The pot will need to be ganged (two elements on a common shaft) since the headsets are stereo.

FWIW, I just had cause to measure DC resistance of an older J&M headset element, 70-ohms.
