Hello All;
My name is G-Dawg or Dawg as most people call me & I am from Newfoundland Canada.
I am an ol Harley guy & I have only ever owned / rode one meteric bike in my life, it has always been HD or Custom choppers.
Well a few years back I was hit by a drunk driver and was told there would be no more of that but found my way back thanks to motorcycle Trikes, yet still ture to my way it was HD /Custom built Choppers.
A few weeks back Gold Wings started for some reason to catch my eye as looking like a Great bike to log the long miles on, as my back and hip seem to be getting worse; well I finanly bought one! It's a 1988 1500 & yes it's a Trike; I wont say the brand name of the kit as I am not sure if that would be pluging a business or not, so if any one wants to know about the kit PM me & I will gladly fill you in on it.
Anyway I am still tryinh to figure out all of the do dads and gismos on this thing but I sure like the power it has; I have been taking a lot of ribbing from some of my ol HD buddies over the Wing BUT they can't catch me on the open road "LOL"
When I bought it it had one of these GREAT BIG windshilds on it that went over your head! I think it's called a Tlusa Windshild (Not for ME) I still have the windshild but a friend gave me a stock one which I had cut down to about 10" in hight, now I have the wind in my face again the way I like it.
I still have a few things to do to it to make it mine; like trying to see what kind of pipes I can out on it to give her some sound you know a nice rumbel, I also have to fab up a custom set of floor bourds and some kind of forward controles so I am not in so much pain when I ride & stiffen up the seat as well so it's not trying on a long haul.
Oh well; looks like I am being long winded again, just wanted to say hi to every one and let you all know from what I have seen so far this looks like a great site & thanks for letting me join
