My first forum, so bear with me. I have been checking out the site for a couple of months and have read some great stuff that has inspired me and helped me do some repairs on my 84 Aspencade.
Just signed in for the first time and not sure starting a new thread is proper. What is the best way to post and reply?
Would like to add a pic or two of the bike also...
Any advice would be very welcomed.

Hi; I am Alpena, looking for wing buddies to ride and swap tips with.
My Aspy is a 1200 but is not really not that much different than yours.
Got my wing about a year ago and have put over 8K on it already.

Can anyone share with me how difficult it would be to replace the handlebars on my 84 Aspy? The part that has me concerned is the throttle and choke cables. The rest looks easy.
Some kid ran a stop sign in front of me and I had to do a HARD STOP. I kept the bike up, but the bars got tweaked pretty bad and my wrist and arms got tweaked also. Years of riding experience saved my ASS and the bike from further damage. So much for my trip to Sturgis...
