I want to say hello to everyone from northeastern Indiana. This is a great forum I have visited many times in the past. A little info about myself, I work for a soda and cell phone company. I just traded off my almost restored 83 1100 wing and upgraded to a 89 gl1500. My next upgrade is a year or two away.....hint, hint, 1800.:bow:A friend of mine had the 1500 and has stage four cancer so I helped him out by buying the bike. Ill post a few pictures of both bikes for furture eye candy for everyone. Thanks again for all the insight this forum offers to wandering people looking and needing info about wings and ect. :)

Howdy and welcome to the forum! :waving:
Welcome and congrats on the upgrade. Quite a difference between the 1100 and the 1500 eh?

We've got friends in Auburn, you from near there?

Steve

Welcome from North Dakota
thanks everyone, and steve I am from the fortwayne, indiana area. Thats a great pic of yoda, I was teaching one of my students how to use a katana sword ealier this evening.
By the way, my 1100 wing I almost restored was a great bike, but it couldn't pull my little trailer very in hilly areas. My 1500 does great.

We just rolled through Fort Wayne last week Monday. My son-in-law is from Marion (daughter met him at IWU), just a few miles south of you. His parents moved from there to New Jersey last year. They still had some stuff still in storage there so his father rode his BMW K1200LT from New Jersey to Michigan, stayed the weekend with the kids, then last week Monday we rode with him down to Marion. He rented a Uhaul truck to take the storage stuff and the bike back to New Jersey. Good trip, 432 miles starting at 40* in the morning and 62* when we returned.
