That's because that link is to an internal network IP, not a WWW based IP address.

Not an HJC fan myself, but I've heard a lot of good things from those who own them. If they are that good you can't beat 115 for a modular helmet.

I got the IS-MAX which has the internal sun shade, don't bother with that, it's so light tinted it's useless. Other than that and terrible wind noise it is a nice helmet. The CL-MAX might not have the wind noise problem, they do state that with it, a claim they don't make with the SI.

I have a AGV right now full face it is a quiet helmet but I have had a HJC and it was quiet also

Try this thread Dusty. It might answer a question or three. It seems, most of us buy a few helmets until we find the right one.

It reads good, if it is comfortable it should be fine, as long as those are the features you are looking for. I don't notice mention of the sunshield, that could be an issue but for the price I wouldn't expect a whole lot of options to be included.

I have been thinking of a modular because of the ability to tip it up and take a swig of water while riding, something which is not possible with the full face I have now. I had concerns about a modular not being strong enough in a frontal impact or possibly opening in an accident but I have not heard of that happening so I guess my concerns are unfounded.

I have an HJC 3/4. It was the only helmet in 2 states + a year of searching that was comfortable enough to wear for any length of time.

If its not comfortable,I just wouldn't wear it.

Wife got a Nolan modular due to her 'dry eyes', the only reason for that particular brand was its "comfort" [spent many weeks in stores all over the state to find that comfort]. She says the built-in sunshade is lame, but it fits over her glasses real well, but it has no sunvisor. I need a sunvisor, not optional, for me.

If I'm riding into the sun with no sunvisor, I would change to a ballcap.

No wonder there are so many choices out there. :? Good Luck !!

I just got the SI Max II and I really like it.

$115 is not a bad deal for that helmet. If it fits you good, then there is a bonus.

I wish they made a helmet that was sort of like a football helmet, I want the 3/4 design, a chinbar for protection in the jaw area, and a hole in the sides so you can hear better, and lightweight.

Hey Dusty, was doing some looking around & found a Vega Summit II (champagne color) at www.IronPony.com for $79.99. I've tried this model on before & it is very lightweight & very comfortable. Check their closeout section.

thanks for the link

the real key to a helmet is trying it on..... sizing really isn't standardized... and then there are those weird shaped heads humans seem to have

By all means try them on. I looked at the HJC CL-Max modular & have to have a XXXL to be comfortable while their 3/4 helmets in XL fit great. Go figure.
