Hi fellow goldwingers, I am going to install new grips .I would like to know what has worked best for you all, you see my concern is getting the grip on about half way then it getting stuck, have you all used any special lubes, glues, soaps, etc. Your ideas much appreciated. Thanks

Hair spray, or fingernail polish remover.

Give 'em a couple of hours to dry before riding. They come back off as easily as they went on.

I replaced my grips on my wing and I was concerned like you that I would get them on half way also then get stuck.

Pull the old grips off then remove all the glue on the Handel bars I used some glue that I bought at eh the local auto parts store(perma poxy ) it drys in 5 min. Just put a dab on the Handel bar one at a time then just slide them on to the bar they will just slide right on .
rember to put them the way you want as soon as you can and only use a dab so you can take them off later if you need.

BTY are you taking off oem grips ?
