Garmin GPS units require a type A to mini-B USB data transfer cable. Some digital cameras, cell phones, and other electronic devices use the same type of cable. We have however found that some cables do not work with our GPS units.

Note:

• The cable will not work if it is labeled as a "USB Charging Cable".
• It is recommended to connect the USB cable directly to a USB port on the computer as connecting to USB hubs can cause communication issue with the unit.
• When using extension cables for USB port ensure that the total cable length from GPS to computer does not exceed 9 feet.
