I'm new to the Goldwing community after years of being on cruisers. I know I'll have a lot of questions and am very happy a message board like this exists.I have an '83 GL1100 Interstate that I am wanting to customize. So, if anyone is experienced with naked Goldwings or street customizing I'd love to pick at your brain.Thanks for having me aboard.

I had an 80 1100, I bought brand new in 1980. You are the owner of, what I believe, is a classic. A danged good bike. I guess the only improvement I ever made to mine, was a pointless ignition. Dyna something or other. I can't remember the name. The only things needeing regular attention other than oil and fluids, was the valve lash and cam tensioner adjustments. I hope yours gives you as much trouble free fun as mine did. I was a fireman in Mesa decades ago, so I know the rides are year round! I used to go up Beeline hwy, to Payson all the time. The Beeline Cafe had the best home made chile I ever ate! Hit my first and last "black Ice" patch at the bottom of Snake Creek Pass one winter evening I was headed up there. Scared the bejesus outa me! Welcome to the site, you will come to love the friends here. No bitching and arguing goes on for long here! We have the best moderators in the buisness, so they keep it family oriented. Lots of teasing though! Again, welcome. Oh, and try Randakk's naked wing site.
