Great Road to ride on the east side and down Gorge. Not so much on the west side. I used to take the Scappoose Vernonia Road exit and follow the old Logging Railroad line over the mountain and down onto 47 just north of Vernonia. Then would head up the twisties to Astoria The Astor column and crossing the Astoria Megler bridge is something else. Kind of a fun trip for me because when I was a kid we used to head to long Beach for Vacations and cross there using the old ferry system. Lots of neat Historical sites up there. The old Gun Batteries. The whale watching above illwaco and the Museum in Astoria and of course Ft Clatsop. Lewis and Clarks winter encampment. Of course going down the Gorge is truly magnificent. I liked heading down the Wa side from Biggs and the Maryhill and then crossing down the river and stopping at Multnomah falls and of course the obligatory stop at Bonneville. You are in a great area for riding for sure. The perfect location.:waving:
