Jeff (cntryboy1289) and his wife came up this weekend to get the saddle bags I had and gave me a good idea, putting an mp3 player on for when nothing good is on the radio. What I'm trying to figure out is how to tie it in without using one of those cassette adapters. He mentioned something about a cable that he had used on his but my 86 SEi has the radio and cassette built together. Any ideas or do I just need to get one of those adapters for the cassette.

BTW, what size are the speakers? Are they 3 1/2" or 4"? I would like to change them out to a better set this winter.

The drawbak with tape adapters is you don't get the same level of volume as a direct connection.

You could try one of the FM transmitters that you use to play the MP3 through the radio.
