I dont see in the service manual where Mother Honda list a HP rating . Seems I recall its about 80 . Though I cant say where that s come from . :(

1000 had 80 hp. so I think the 1100 would be close to the same. They played around with gearing, cams & carbs in the 1100 but I don't know that the horespower increased.

Seems I saw where a early 1500 put out 80 hp and I think my 1200 is like.........75.

aaahhh. The 1200 was actually one of the biggest steps in hp Honda took in the GL line. 83-84 arethe standard numbers I see for the 1100 and 96 is generally the number for a 1200. Excluding the weight increases of the frame the 1200 has the real potential to be the hotrod in the group. The jump to the 1100 displacement concentrated on a flatter torque curve and more mid-range torque for passing while two up.

75-77 1000 models were advertised at 80 and 78/79 1000's were 78
