I just bought a BikeMPX GPS mic interface for the GL1500. Dopey me, I thought I'd be able to plug-n-play under the left pocket then plug the 2.5mm male wireinto myGarmin 760 GTM20 base and be able to bluetooth my phone to the Garmin and talk and hearfrom my helmet. Well, that was partly correct. I can talk from my helmet but I do not get audio in my helmet. To get audio I must transmitfrom the Garmininto my radio and out through the speekers. I'd prefer to get audio through my helmet. The Garmin has a 3.5mm headset out. How do I connect this headset outto my helmet such that I will get muting when a call comes in and hear the callers voice in my helmet? I have a 1999 GL1500SE whichhas the CB and Cassett player and Radio.Any response in simple terms would be appreciated. Pictures are good ..... (I know my limitations and simple has always been best!) Thanks in advance!!

Thanks Falk for the feedback. What I decided to do, base on other posts, was to get a cassette adapter (Phillips from WalMart $10). Plugged it into Garmin and it works great for piping voice into my helmet. NOW the problem is on the far end, the person receiving my call. They hear a slightly garbled voice from me (hard to hear but you can make out the message) and their own voice echos in a 1/4 second delay. What the heck is causing this and how do I solve the problem? Is it the BikeMP3 mic interface? Any electronic teckies care assist?

If you have a headset jack on your phone....these edsets will work.Works perfect on my 1500 with my VX10000 Voyager. Set your phone to Auto Answer and whenever you plug in, the phone will go into Auto Answer mode.The phone acts just like a third headset as it will mute the radio when the caller is talking and your passenger can join in on the conversation.
