A well maintained goldwing will run for hundreds of thousands of miles.

I don't know if anyone has found out yet.

There was a 1500 on ebay a while back that had 514,000 miles on it. The guy claimed he never had the engine or transmission rebuilt.

Here's where it was discussed. The ebay link is dead though.

Talked with a gentleman that has had several GW, and was at Lowes with his 2003. The odometer said over 300,000 and sounded good when he took off with the bag of mulch on the back.

My previous 1500 was still going strong at 235,000 miles whenI gave it to my brother last year. Never had the tranny or engine worked on. I now have a 2005 1800 and would expect it to go a half-million miles easily, with proper care and maintenance.

Gold Wings like Timex should be advertised alike.....Gold Wings can take a beating and keep on ticking......I have heard that at one time there was a wing at the Honda factory here in the states that had this astronomical number of miles on it....Don't know how true that rumor was, but I plan on getting a bunch of miles out of my old wing before I either move up to a newer one or trike mine out????

Until something stops it.

Thanks a lot!!! I had heard they lasted a long time and lots of miles. I have a chance to buy a 2003 trike with 120,00 miles on it. I will not hesitate now. It is loaded with gobs of extras. Thanks again!!!!!
