There is a local guy selling a GL1200 engine. He says it is from an '83 (which would be an 1100 right?) but his ad says '84 and the valve covers say 1200.

Anyways, if I go look at it is there any way of telling for sure if it is a 1200?

Yes, dingdong, that is the one. Have thoughts of swapping into my '82, but it is running really well now so the smart thing would be to just leave it alone. But when was the last time I did the smart thing, right.

Anyways things everyone for the good advice on IDing it.
