Hello everyone, I will be inheriting a 1990 GL1500 later this spring. My father-in-law is hanging up his boots and gave me his ride for my birthday. I am still in shock!!!:shock:

but I am looking forward to getting her and getting on the road.

I presently have a 1981 Yamaha Seca 550, so the GL will be quite a change. Right now the Wing has a trike kit on it, whichis bascially a pair oflarge outrigger type training wheels. I will probably keep them on for awhile til i get used to the controls, etc. Thenthey will probably show up on the for sale forum! ( the outriggers that is not the bike)

Past rides include a BMW R1150R (will eventually get another BMW but right now can't afford it), Yamaha Virago and back in the day Yamaha RD350 and Benelli 65.

I teach music and play trombone and tuba, hence my nickname.

This looks like an awesome site. Thank you Mr. Saunders for hosting.

I look forward to lurking and posting.

Welcome tubabone :waving:sounds like a great idea to keep those extra wheels on. ALthough make sure you learn the proper way to pick up a wing after you take those wheels off.:cheeky1:Enjoy the birthday gift. :action:

:waving::waving:Welcome tubabone from Minn :waving::waving:

I've been looking at the Voyager kit (training wheels) because the wife would

feel much better if we had them.

Shoot me a picture if you can, and I may be interested when you are done with them.

hey rocketman, yep she is white. the previous owner had the tank repainted without the stripes, so she is at the shop right now getting new ones put on.

Can't wait to get her back. although it is a bit cold to be riding right now.
