I am heartbroke today . I was one who did vote for Montrose . I had all my plans laid out . Bought the 1500 in June so the wife and I could be comfy .5 weeks ago I had an accident at work resulting in my shoulder being dislocated . I have been off work since .I reallized at that time the bike was not going to be part of my trip and planned to still go and visit everyone .

Today all my plans were upset yet again. My third trip to the Dr and just having an MRI he said I need surgery on my rotator cuff .:(Sadly its is scheduled the week of the meet .

:clapper: Thank you Wilton and all the rest working on this gathering for your hard work .

I wish you all the best and safe travel . :action:

There should now be an RV slot empty at Cedarcreek , as I just asked to cancel that as well .

WOW !!!!!!!! I know you gotta be bummed. When those mountains are calling, it's hard not to answer.

I hope the surgery goes well and you heal quickly. And there doesn't have to be a meet-n-greet just to go somewhere,,,,,,,,,,, once you'ved healed,,,,, maybe you might think about a trip out there just to do it;)

Good luck,,,,,,,,,,, we'll have plenty of pics for ya.

Doh!! I was so bummed hearing you weren't going to be able to go I plumb forgot to wish you well on your surgery. :gunhead: I'm so sorry you messed up your shoulder. I'll be praying for an easy surgery and a quick and complete healing. I still think you should tell your surgeon to reschedule though. ;)

JB , John I wish it could be done later , or could have been done 2 weeks ago . I was so hopefull of getting out there and meeting The Saunders as well as more of the Wing family and those we met last year in Calhoun . I had planned to spend a few days in Denver to visit some friends , then go south to San Luis CO where we have some land before going on west to Montrose .

This accident was at work . So it being workers comp , I just really have no control of the timing ect . I have already been home 5 weeks with reduced income and it looks to be at least 8 more weeks . Man life can change in literally a second or two .

Wish I was closer to you to be able to help you out with things while you heal.

Aargh ....:doh:must be very frustrating for you! :(

Main thing is to prep yourself for the operation and heal up fast .... so you can ride to next year's event! :clapper::cooler::toast:

Cheers, Ken .... who is sorry to hear this news! :gunhead:

Truely sorry to hear about this, I can relate, And I wasnt even a member when the voting took place, and I know how disapointed I am, I can only imagine how bad you feel...Hope youhave an easy operation, and get well soon

I can relate: I had one rotator cuff surgically repaired two years ago, and I just had the other done last March....... You're facing a 3 month recovery with full strength in a year...... rotator cuff repair is notminor surgery, it's a big deal. Be sure and comply with all the doctor's recommendations and do all your rehab by the book. It will be better, but not overnight! Good luck, friend....

OnaWingandaPrayer-

You will be missed. Your health is "job 1", though, so...you gotta do what you've gotta do, right? Listen to "Cousin Jack" (Mel)...he's just been through it, and his advice has always been "golden". He's also a pretty good poet. so if you need a "healing poem" or "wanna ride my Wing poem", he's definitely your man....:D

He likes to fly like a bird on his Wings,

skip down the highway like a mockingbird sings,

but the damned old doctor shook his white head,

and said, "sorry old son, but I booked you a bed,"

" I’m real sorry and mean not to be mean,

but I gotta lay you down and scrape that joint clean,"

"So cancel your plans for that NASSIR whatever,

you ain't goin' nowhere till your arm gits all better,

But lift up your chin and be of good cheer,

maybe Nassir 3 will be somewhere near!"

( the above is pretty awful, OneWingandaPrayer, but the best I could do on short notice! Cheer up though, and remember -- the quicker it's done, the quicker you're good to go....again, good luck, and let us know how it goes......be thinking about you.....okay?)

Cousin Jack,

I think that's pretty good, short notice or not!

OneWingandaPrayer, sorry to hear you can't make it, but you gotta take care of yourself first.
