Deer can't whistle because deer can't pucker. Deer whistles do not work... because deer cannot purse their lips that way... and I believe that the same applies to highway boards.. Deer cannot bend their legs this way.. Seems to be a common strategy, I used to turn up the radio in my first car to cover the sound of rods knocking. It worked for awhile. One thing about those old solid cranks with splash oil, one loose rod didn't hurt the lubrication of the mains and other rods.I used to turn up the radio volume to drown out the whistling. :band:
