I'm still in the market for a '83 Aspencade.I got a deal in the works as I type. Never-the-less, I'myearning for ideas of how to install a custom radio set-up. I've seen a few past posts that recommend the Plyle systems, due to the small footprint. Anyway, you know what they say:A picture is worth............

Therefore, if anydistinguished members have any pictures of custom radio system installsyou would care to share or know of aweb site I could lurk, I would be much obliged! Ride safe.

I don't know of any, but I'm curious as to what kind of end result you are trying to achieve...

I run an older analog-faced Pioneer with fairly new Radio Shack marine speakers.

I'm planning an external alternator install for this winter which will affordmore options on current draw. I'm tossing around the idea of replacing the Pioneer with something else, but my primary reasoning is to run other electronic equipment. A commercial Kenwood transceiver in particular.

I'd like to see a radio mod for the '83 Aspencade. But hey, that's ok. I'll figure it out. Thanks for the reply.

You can get a good Pyle unit and mount it in the left fairing pocket with a marine cover or get a Cyclesound unit and put just about any car unit in it. With the Cyclesound you really have to watch the depth of the unit going in it. They come up on Ebay quite often.

Will the Pyle system intergrate with the CB and intercom? If not here's what I'm thinking about doing:

1. Remove the entire system.

2. Install an aftermarket radio and amp

3.Replace the radio and cb displays with a timer and temp gauge.

I'm a local solo rider, so I don't need the intercom or CB.
