I didn't do this for Christmas but it is that time of the year. I gave him my 2002 VTX retro. Hes been wanting a bike and just can't afford it and I really don't want to buy him one. I don't think I rode it three times this past summer so I gave it to him. I figue the wife and I will take a four day weekend this summer and I ride it and she'll drive the Impala to his house and deliver it to him. He sure seemed pleased.

Good for you. I envy you too. Wish I had grandchildren that cared about me. Life is short so enjoy your family.

Thank you. You are right about life being short. I have a daughter that believes shes the greatest thing since sliced bread. My boys, not so much. They're great.

When I got my Wing, I went out that night and got my son a Honda Shadow. He was beside himself and to this day can not believe that I got him a motorcycle. Truth be known..... I wouldn't enjoy riding as much as I do if he couldn't ride with me. He makes me proud when Im out there with him enjoying or rides together.......

Wing - $3000
Shadow - $2300
Repairs tyres and Maintenance - $2500
Time spent with my son...... PRICELESS!

How far away does your son live from you?

I always enjoyed going out for a ride with my dad. Sure miss him!

I've got a lot of questions he could answer now!:sleepy:

I had a 2002 VTX retro,best bike I ever had. I put 75,000 miles on it and

it still ran like new. If he is happy now just wait till he gets used to it. He

will just keep getting happyer, happyer and happyer.
