CHICAGO (AP) — Talk about leaving a trail.
A man allegedly robbed a Chicago bank Friday after writing a threatening note on the back of his own pay stub, which included his name and home address.
An FBI affidavit says 40-year-old Thomas Infante of Cary walked into a Fifth Third Bank and handed a teller a note that read "Be Quick Be Quit. Give your cash or I'll shoot."
The teller gave the man about $400, and he left half of his note behind when he fled. Investigators found the other half — which included his name and address — outside the bank's front doors.
The affidavit says Infante was arrested at his Cary home and later confessed to the robbery.
