All I can think it being is you moving the choke cable. My front end is apart right now, so I went out and looked at what it could be. Played with it by moving things back and forth. There are hydraulic fluid cables, electrical wires, and the choke cable. I can see nothing at least in the front end that would do that except maybe the choke cable.

Lubricate the choke cable while you are doing the throttle cables.
