Hey guys, thanks all for the help on the carbs runs great now. thought I was all done and ready to ride those hundred thousand care free miles on a goldwing. UHMMM... Seems that when shifting if the momentum of the bike is such to keep the driveline loaded there is no problem. But if the shift is a slow one, it feels like after letting out the clutch and throttling there is some play being taken up in the drive line. I put the bike on the center stand in first gear and marked the bottom of the tire. there is about two and a half inches of play back and forth at that point. I removed the oil filler cap and observed the output shaft as I move the tire back and forth. the output shaft moves exactly with the tire movment and doesnt appear to have any play in the drive shaft or diff. It feels and sounds like the play is inside the trans. the bike is a 84 1200 and only has 20,000 miles on it. I would really like to think that the P.O couldnt have screwed up a goldwing trans that quickly but once again Im at a loss. Any ideas or suggestions are once again appreciated. Thanks mike
