Hi Guys,

Finally deciding to make themove to a Comp-u-fire - hoping this will solvemy intermittent starting problems withthe1998 SE.

Anyrecommendations on a websitethat is inexpensive and trustworthy for the comp-u-fire?

Many thanks... Brian
Brian, I don't know if they can get the unit you want but if they can get it, it will be cheaper than any other place I have ever dealt with.. I buy all my Harley electronics, coils, & ignitions from them..

why not just go to http://www.compufire.com ..ciaran
Wexman, unfortunately here in the US a lot of parts supply companies sell their own products retail at a higher price than can be obtained from a lot of their vendors. The parts companies don't want to undercut their main selling dealers so hold their retail prices to the higher end of the scale.. There are a few On-line motorcycle parts suppliers in the US that will sell parts (like ignition modules etc) at just a few dollars over the wholesale price & will usually beat the retail priceof the original supplier, in some cases by a $100.00 or more.

Thanks, guys... Yes, I went to http://www.compufire.com; they wanted $499 for the whole compufire setup. I called wingstuff per Tony and they quoted $450 for the same thing plus $13 freight. They said it will arrive in 4 business days.

Tried your recommendation, Twisty, but couldnt get through to those guys.

Many thanks. Brian :waving:
Brian, Cyborg is in Idaho so note the time difference. They are there as I just talked with them this afternoon. You can try their sales E-Mail [email protected]

Sometimes you have to call back a few times as they are out for few minutes.

Cyborg is mainly a Harley oriented business but if it's available form some of the major catalog supply houses they can usually get it cheaper than almost anybody else.

I just ordered a programmable ign module for my Harley EVO at $50.00 less than I could find it for from anyone else I called or on the Internet. I like their shipping policy, they only charge you what it costs them to ship, no silly handling fees or add on charges.
