Hi just curious the prev owner of my bike 83 1100a must have put aftermarket fusable links from both battery posts, i dont see them listed in the service manual, they are heavy duty, but the neg side has 10 amp and the pos side has 40 amp (the square type auto fuses.... i blew out the 40 amp when i was charging it and all i could find is a 30amp in the shop to replace it...

question, is 30 amp enough for the pos side of the battery, if not ill pick up some 40 amp when i go to the store here in a while. or should i go more on both sides...

thanks dave

The original fuse was 30 amp and why would anyone put a fuse on the ground side?

you sure that 10 amp is the bike ground?/ May lead off somewhere else
if it is get rid of it and ground the neg right to the engine as stock 30 amp is correct for pos feed
