Got a pair of these last weekend: http://www.cyclemaxohio.com/inc/sdetail/42941

I looked my stock exhaust, there are four rivets (two top nad two bottom) on either side of what looks like a split. To install these, do you drill out the rivets and pull out the factory turndown, and slide the triples all the way up to the muffler body? I just want to make sure before drilling anything. Thanks in advance...

Hi Bill. Yes those are the ones you need to unrivet the turndown to install. I seen fatter ones that fitted over the whole muffler ends without removing the existing turndown, but they look very bulky. The set you bought is nicer and its not hard to unrivet the turndown.

Sure no problem, going out of town this weekend, and unfortunately not taking the bike, so it'll wait til next week some time, but yeah I'll post some pix.

I debated on removing the turndowns, but decided to leave them alone and install the triples over the originals.

My triples are just like yours.I got mine on clearance about a year ago. I wish I would have bought1/2 doz.
