I'm hoping somebody has a set of instructions for installing Markland driver floorboards on a gl1200. I bought a set but they did not come with instructions. I've also searched the forums and the closest I got was a post saying they were sending someone instructions.
I bought a used set for my 1100, and they had no instructions, either. I did think the installation was rather intuitive, though. There were only 2 tough parts.
1) I think there were spacers missing, I had to use washers, and longer bolts at the 2 main mounting points. I also had to use ratchet straps to spread the boards to REACH the mounting points.
2) It was trial and error to get the shift linkage mount to the right place (in 360* of options<lol) on the shifter shaft.
I don't know if the 12's use the same thing..if they do, you'll see what I mean!
Sorry for the triple post, guess I ran out of room in the "quick reply" box
Yeah I think I might be missing something too, which is why I was hoping for the instructions. I just rebuilt the front forks and put a new gas tank in(not fun at all ) and was looking for an easy way out.for the boards.
