Interchanging coils

Can I take a set of coils off a 1100 83a and put them on a 1200 84a

Comparing the two on pictures, they look almost identical. I do believe a couple on here have used GL1200 coils on the '83 GL1100.

I've heard before that they will work but I can't verify it personally.
