i tried to hook up an ipod on my 1800 goldwing using the plug in the left compartment, i got it to play but i cant change the songs with the switch on the handle bar. i also have the mp3 player hooked up in the trunk. could this be the problem or do i need a specific ipod ???? any help :bow:

the connector in the left compartment only hooks up the speakers to your Ipod. If you have the Mp3 system in the trunk that hooks into the system through the CD system hook up then you can use the handle bar controls

is there an adaptor kit for that. the plug in the trunk is the wide one.

If you want to use the handlebar controls you need either this:

i have the j&m player but i dont think it has that adapter on it. i was hoping i could hook that up without spending any money. bummer:sadguy:

The J&M unit has a USB port which you can plug your Ipod cable into.

is that the same one you plug the thumdrive into and do the ipods have that cord ?? as you can tell i don't know alot about this stuff

you should be able to use the same cord you use to hook the IPOD to the computer and down load the music
