2 different rides...

I have 2 certified rides completed....

1- SS1000
Read about it here --> http://neverlost-justexploring.blogspot.com/p/all-way-to-water-day-1.html :readit:

2- The Great Lakes 100
The challenge is to ride around all 5 Great Lakes in less than 100 hours..I completed that ride in 68 hours and 20 minutes with day long rides of approx 730 miles / 710 miles / 1050 miles ...

On a Goldwing it is almost like cheating...

Might be so....

For all of the people who say things like..."I don't need a piece of paper to prove I did it" or anything like that...

I get it . I also have done some LONG days in the saddle that I did not get certified by the IBA. I also remember a few days where I felt like I did a lot of miles but after checking after the ride I realized I only rode 850 miles..not the 1000 that would be required for the certificate...Some days that last 150 miles is a L O N G way .

Those who choose to organize, and coordinate and log and apply for membership are making a conscious effort to ride and be certified by a commonly recognized authority in the industry. I commend those of us who have done a certified ride just as I commend anyone who rides ....

What I would like to see is special recognition for adverse weather conditions rides....My SS1000 was done with over 300 miles of rain in the middle...Maybe a "Rusty Butt" award....?

LOL......
