no freeplay. What exactly is your clutch lever doing?

Could be the bushing that is worn.

Do you mean that you have a long pull on the lever before the clutch disengages? I have the same thing with my 85 and I attributed it to the nature of the animal itself. When the talk about the friction zone with the clutch I only have about 1/3 of the pull of the lever that the clutch operates in (last part of travel of the lever)?!?!

I measured mine this morning. Mine has 1" of movement before any resistance is met.

If you think or are having problems

1. check the bushing
2. bleed the master cylinder.
3. rebuild the master cylinder

If you do replace the bushing lube it when doing an oil change....... in UK rain... a drop of oil once a month. :) in Ireland once a week :)

Thanks.
Which bushing?

I think "Tricky" is referring to this bushing for wear.
